SYLACAUGA, Ala. – With the holidays approaching, Ponder Plumbing has placed a “blessing box” in the business’s parking lot for community members if they wish to donate or pick up non-perishable food items.

Located on Hwy 280 in between The Living Word Church and the Alabama Power Appliance Center, Ponder Plumbing is offering a local opportunity to help friends and family in the area through a food pantry known as the “blessing box.”

Adam Ponder, owner of Ponder Plumbing, announced the pantry box in a post on Facebook.

“Anyone can stop by and take whatever food is needed,” said Ponder on the Facebook post. “You can stop at anytime. If you have extra [non-perishable] food you would like to leave, that is welcomed also.”

Ponder says that the “blessing box” will stay as long as it is not abused.
