SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Alabama Childhood Food Solutions is calling on the community to help restock its shelves through an urgent food drive aimed at supporting local families facing food insecurity.
The organization is currently serving up to 1,500 families and is seeking donations of non-perishable food items to help meet growing demand. Officials say supplies are running low and community support is needed to continue providing food boxes to those in need.
Requested donations include canned foods, pasta, rice, and peanut butter. ACFS asks donors to ensure all items are unopened, unexpired, and have valid dates before being dropped off.
Donations can be delivered to the Alabama Childhood Food Solutions warehouse, located at 114 Canyon Ridge Rd. in Sylacauga, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The food drive is part of the organization’s ongoing effort to address hunger in the area and provide assistance to families struggling to put food on the table. ACFS officials say every donation helps fill food boxes and ensures local residents have access to essential groceries.
Community members with questions about the food drive can contact Cindy Adams by email at [email protected].
ACFS thanked residents for their support and encouraged anyone able to contribute to help replenish supplies and assist families throughout the community.
