OAK GROVE, Ala. – For more than two decades, the second Saturday in October has featured the Oak Grove Fall Festival, and with over a dozen events and activities throughout the region on the same day this year, the granddaddy of fall festivals still found a way to attract another huge crowd.

There was a steady flow of visitors coming to check out a great collection of vendors – this year’s lineup was filled several months ago – along with lots of delicious food, all sorts of fun activities for the children, a stage full of music – featuring Symple Man Revival, a tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd – and an expanded car show from the Marble City Cruisers.

All in all, it was a great job of planning and organizing to keep the standards high and keep the festival growing year after year, and the community support was outstanding as well.
