TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Youth baseball registration is nearing separate deadline dates in Childersburg and Sylacauga, offering a last chance for kids to step up to the plate and swing for the fences.
In Childersburg, the Parks and Recreation department is accepting sign-ups for T-ball, Cal Ripken baseball, softball, and even three-year old whiffle ball until this Friday, February 23.
Ages 3 through 12 are welcome to join the action with fees ranging from $25 to $80, with special rates up to half-price for Housing Authority residents.
Meanwhile, in Sylacauga, the Alabama USSSA Baseball Registration is open until March 1, also catering to kids ages 3 to 12.
Registration can be completed online through both the Childersburg and Sylacauga Parks and Recreation hubs, or in-person.
League age is determined by how old the player is on May 1, 2024, and proof of residence must be provided to complete registration.
