TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Former Alabama senator Jim Preuitt passed away Sunday in Talladega at the age of 86.
Preuitt was born on July 19, 1935. During his political career, he was a state representative from 1982-1986, and state senator from 1986-1992. He also served as Talladega County probate judge. He made his return to the Senate in 1998.
Preuitt’s funeral arrangements have not been announced.
