SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Families in Sylacauga will have a chance to celebrate spring while supporting young creators during the “Eggs & Entrepreneurs: Hoppy Little Makers Market and Egg Hunt” event at Noble Park later this month.
Organized by Sylacauga Parks and Recreation, “Eggs & Entrepreneurs” will take place on Saturday, March 21, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the city’s annual community Easter egg hunt. The hunt is free and open to children, with participants divided into age groups of 1–4, 5–8, and 9–12. Pre-registration is not required.
After the hunt, families are encouraged to remain at the park for the Hoppy Little Makers Market, scheduled to run until 12:00 p.m. The market is designed specifically for entrepreneurs age 12 and younger who want to sell items they have created themselves.
Young vendors may offer handmade goods such as artwork, jewelry, crafts, baked items, and clothing designs. Organizers say the market wants to encourage creativity while introducing children to basic entrepreneurial skills in a supportive, family-friendly setting. Parents may assist their children during the market.
Booth spaces cost $10 for a 10-by-10 space. Tables can be provided upon request, but vendors must bring tents, chairs, and payment methods.
Booths may be reserved online, by phone at (256) 249-8561, or in person at the J. Craig Smith Community Center.
