LINCOLN, Ala. – Have you been looking to eat better with your own home vegetable garden? Putting the idea into action could use more than a bit of expert advice, and your local chapter of the Alabama Extension Service is ready to help with a “Basic Gardening Class” in Lincoln this week.
Teaming up with horticulture experts from Alabama’s land grant colleges, Auburn University, and Alabama A&M University, the extension service offers the expert advice you need to get started, or even to take your home vegetable garden to the next level.
A “Basic Gardening Class” is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 47475 US Hwy 78 in Lincoln.
Even if you cannot make that course on short notice, there’s a better opportunity online with the Garden-U course from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
Garden-U is a horticulture course offered online only and taught by Alabama Extension agents and specialists. Classes include research-based gardening information on topics such as home lawns, trees, shrubs, annual and perennial flowers, and vegetable gardening.
Find out more in person on March 14, or check out Garden-U at https://www.aces.edu/blog/topics/lawn-garden/garden-u-course/.
