SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Alfa agent Emily Edmunds was welcomed to Sylacauga on Thursday, March 12 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Victorian Village on Fort Williams St.
Actually, it’s a return to the Sylacauga area as Edmunds and her husband Corey formerly lived in his hometown of Stewartville and attended Sylacauga Church of Christ. The new Sylacauga Alfa agent has spent the past three years working in Montgomery in anticipation of opening her own Alfa agency in the Marble City.
“I commuted to the capitol city from Alexander City every day, where my husband owns a machine and manufacturing company, HEM Company, Inc.,” said Edmunds. “I’ve known Daren Holland for quite a while now and worked hard for those three years to ready myself for Sylacauga to coincide with his retirement plans.”
She loves working with Alfa Insurance because of its all-local connections, saying, “Our corporate office is in Alabama, it’s aligned with the Alabama Farmers Federation, and every aspect of the company’s services are local to Alabama, which is important for Alabama customers.”
The new Emily Edmunds Agency handles the complete line of Alfa coverages – Home, Auto, Farm, Commercial, Life, Health, Renter’s, and a dozen other specialty insurance services. Upon learning that she would be opening her own agency here, Edmunds recruited Sylacauga resident and insurance veteran Danielle Treace to serve as her Associate Agent.
