SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 16 year-old allegedly responsible for a murder at Marble City Heights.
On Tuesday, the Talladega County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call at the 500 block of Marble City Heights in Sylacauga.
After arriving on the scene, deputies made contact with the 17 year-old victim and he was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Kaleb O’Neal McCain, 16, was arrested and charged with felony murder. McCain was transported to the Talladega County Jail, where he is being held on a $50,000 bond.
According to TCSO Chief Josh Tubbs the suspect went to the victims house to trade guns. He said the suspect then tried to rob the victim and shots were fired.
“I want to thank the deputies and investigators who worked so hard to bring this to a quick resolution,” said Tubbs.
