SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga Parks and Recreation invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated Beth Yates Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 16 at 9:30 a.m. at 50 W. Spring St., Sylacauga, AL 35150.
Beth Yates Park now consists of brand new playground structures including a larger structure with physical challenges and ADA compliant elements for children 8 years and under, covered adaptive mommy and me swings, bucket swings, and standard swings, and an inclusive whirl. The park also boasts new sidewalks, turf, and landscaping.
Following the ribbon cutting, Batman will be on site for Storytime with Friends at 10:00 a.m.
under the pavilion. Pelican’s Snoballs will also be on-site providing complimentary treats for
attendees, and A & B Party Rentals will provide a bouncy house for the occasion.
The park will be open to the public seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The pavilion is also available for rental for events seven days a week.
