SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A Sylacauga man, Justin Cordaris Fluker, is being held in the Talladega County Metro Jail on a $17,500 bond for gun and drug charges.

Fluker, 30, was arrested by the Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Fluker also faces the charge of failure to appear in court.

The arrest marks yet another legal predicament for Fluker, who has had previous encounters with the law.

According to a 2015 press release from the Sylacauga Police Department, Fluker, then 22, had a prior arrest for breaking and entering a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.
