SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council will meet for the second time this month, tonight, June 20.
The official meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. The following items are set to be discussed:
Resolution declaring Street Dept. 2002 Ford F150 as surplus and authorize disposal on GovDeals.com.
Resolution authorizing the extension of IDB Spec building note for an additional four-year term.
Retail Beer (Off Premises Only) and Retail Table Wine (Off Premises Only) application from Sahin Feroz Lalani, President of Pure Food Mart, Inc., DBA Quality Food Mart located at 1194 Talladega Hwy in Sylacauga.
Authorization for Mayor to sign G17 Disclosure/Engagement Letter with Piper Jaffray for possible refinancing of 2010-A General Obligation Warrants and Funding of Various Capital Projects.
Reschedule first meeting in July due to July 4 holiday.
Approve expenses for HR Specialist Jayne McGee to attend the 2017 Alabama Association of Public Personnel Administrators Annual Conference in Montgomery July 26-28, 2017 and the Problem Solving Forum on July 25. Conference early registration is $250 and forum registration fee is $150. Additional expenses will be incurred for lodging, mileage, and meals.
Balance of Accounts Payable for May in the amount of $178,422.11
May payroll in the amount of $345,773.39.
A work session will be held before the official meeting at 5:00. The following items are set to be discussed:
Rotary Club to discuss proposed improvements at Central Park.
Mark Ledbetter will speak concerning emergency response.
Discussion of July 15 concert behind Fermenter’s Market.
All citizens of Sylacauga are strongly encouraged to attend the council meeting.
