TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Last week, several arrests were made for drug related charges, among others.
James Vantrez Pointer, a 27-year-old from Talladega, was arrested Thursday, Feb. 9, for trafficking in methamphetamine and six charges of distribution of controlled substances. His bond is set at $750,000 for the seven charges.
40-year-old Ronald Traneil Kidd was also arrested Thursday, Feb.9, for distribution of a controlled substance. Kidd is a 40 year old man from Talladega, and his bond is $100,000.
Daniel Keith Harris Jr., a 31-year-old man from Sycamore, was arrested by the Sylacauga Police Dept. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being forbidden to posses a firearm. His bond is set at $50,000.
Anthony Davon Morris, 31, from Alpine, was arrested by the Talladega Police Department on Feb. 9 for charges dating back to 2016. Morris was charged with shooting a firearm into an unoccupied building, and two charges of shooting a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle. His bond is $50,000 for all three charges.
