GOODWATER, Ala. – Earlier this week, the Coosa County Sheriff’s Department arrested seven suspects in a series of drug busts in Goodwater and revealed that another suspect was the subject of a manhunt. That suspect was apprehended on Thursday, Sept. 17.

44-year old Beniah Bradford, of Goodwater, was arrested Thursday on charges of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.

The arrest is part of an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by deputies and investigators with the Clay-Coosa Narcotics Task Force, which was formed this past spring.

After more than a dozen arrests earlier this summer in Clay County, the task force turned its attention to drug use and distribution in Coosa County.
