SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A new restaurant is open in downtown Sylacauga.
AJ International Cuisine opened on Jan. 20 on Broadway Ave.
“The turn-out has been pretty good,” said Manager of AJ International Cuisine Juan Jimenez. “We were not expecting that many people, but this past Friday was crazy.”
The menu for the new restaurant features a variety of options such as steaks, sandwiches, soups, empanadas, tacos, nachos, salmon, salads and chicken strips. The side items are grilled vegetables, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, french fries, baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli and cheese and salads.
Although the restaurant has only been open for one week, Jimenez said they are already starting to see “regulars” come in.
“I have already had some customers come by two or three times, so people must really like the food,” said Jimenez.
Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m until 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1-9 p.m.
