SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Mud Ducks Fastpitch will hold is inaugural Bingo Night on Saturday, September 26, at Harvey’s on Noble as the local travel softball team raises money for its upcoming season.
The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and will feature bingo games with cash and prizes awarded throughout the evening. Head coach Brandon Harp said more than $1,600 in cash and prizes will be available, including gift certificates from Sylacauga-area businesses and a Yeti cooler.
Bingo cards will cost $5 each, with five cards available for $20.
Harp discussed the fundraiser during a September 24 appearance on “McCurley in the Morning,” where he was joined by several members of the Mud Ducks. The players included center fielder Hensley, second baseman Henley, utility player Taylor, third baseman Brooklyn, and right fielder Harlan.
The team currently works with girls ages 6 to 10 and is looking to add players. Families interested in learning more about joining the Mud Ducks can contact them through the Mud Ducks Fastpitch Facebook page.
Proceeds from Saturday’s Bingo Night will go toward expenses associated with the Mud Ducks’ upcoming season.
