TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Sylacauga High School’s varsity cheerleaders turned in a strong week at the University of Alabama Cheer Champ, finishing among the top teams in multiple events and collecting several individual honors.

The Aggies placed second in the cheer competition, third in the sideline routine, and fourth in the camp routine. The squad also earned five Superior Ribbons during the week.

Sylacauga’s mascot was named Camp Champion and received the Superior Blue Ribbon.

Seven Aggies were selected as All-Americans: captain Alyssa Pruitt, co-captain Mia Arnold, senior Kendall Holcomb, sideline co-captain Jaharia Douglas, junior Lexi Lucas, junior Emma Harmon, and competition co-captain Kathryn Bailey.

Douglas added another accomplishment by advancing to the jump-off finals alongside teammate Brooklyn Tuck.

The team’s results capped a productive week in Tuscaloosa as the Aggies continue preparing for the 2026 football season.
