Five arrested following drug task force raid in Harpersville

HARPERSVILLE, Ala. – Five people were arrested following a raid by the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force at a Harpersville residence.

With assistance from the Shelby County Tactical Response Unit, the task force served a search warrant on Tuesday, June 30 at a home in the 400 block of Hwy 62.

Investigators said multiple illegal narcotics, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, Suboxone, and illegally possessed prescription medications, were seized during the search. Firearms were also recovered from the residence.

Joey Parker, James Fowler, Barry Hayes, Bonita Johnson, and Samantha Byram were taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Shelby County Jail, where they were booked on an array of drug-related charges.
