EAST-CENTRAL ALABAMA – Law enforcement agencies in three east-central Alabama counties have arrested six people in connection with alleged illegal drug distribution operations.
The Talladega County Drug Task Force began the arrests Wednesday, June 17 with the apprehension of 37-year-old Brandon Scott McDonald, who was charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
Later that day, the task force arrested 32-year-old Christopher Drake Kelly. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance known as Spice, manufacturing a destructive device, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In neighboring Tallapoosa County, sheriff’s deputies arrested 46-year-old Jeanie Ann Joiner. She was charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, second-degree promoting prison contraband, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, three Pell City men were arrested Thursday morning, June 18 on a combined six counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
Johnathan Woods, 39, was charged with three counts. Dewayne Sanders, 43, was charged with two counts, and Tyler Truss, 25, faces one count.
