SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Coosa Valley Medical Center will mark ten years of its partnership with New Vision Withdrawal Management with a community event Thursday morning, April 23 in Sylacauga.
The partnership provides hospital-based medical care for individuals experiencing withdrawal from alcohol or drugs, offering a safe and supervised environment during the earliest stage of recovery.
Withdrawal management focuses on stabilizing patients, managing symptoms, and preparing them for continued treatment through rehabilitation or counseling programs.
Through this partnership, Coosa Valley Medical Center has expanded access to care by allowing patients in the region to begin treatment locally rather than traveling outside the area.
The program operates inside the hospital, where patients receive monitoring, medication when needed, and support from medical staff trained in addiction care.
The event will be held at 8:30 a.m. in the main lobby of Coosa Valley Medical Center, located at 315 West Hickory Street in Sylacauga. The gathering marks a decade of collaboration between Coosa Valley Medical Center and New Vision and reflects the continued need for accessible withdrawal management services in the community.
