Winterboro’s Kaniya Duncan has been a force all season long, and this week she’s earned the honor of Allen Brew Market Athlete of the Week.
Duncan has been the steady presence the Lady Bulldogs have leaned on from day one. Whether it’s controlling the paint, battling on the glass, or doing the little things that don’t always show up in the scoring column, she’s consistently made winning plays.
In the Elite 8 matchup against Ider at JSU, Duncan delivered one of her grittiest performances of the season. She scored seven points and pulled down an incredible 19 rebounds, dominating the boards and giving Winterboro extra possessions when they needed them most. Her effort helped lift the Lady Bulldogs to a 49-42 victory and punch their ticket to the Final Four.
