FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. – Fayetteville High School’s Ty Stone has been named the Allen Brew Market Athlete of the Week after helping to deliver a comeback for the ages against Woodland.
Normally an offensive lineman, Stone was moved to wildcat quarterback by Coach John Limbaugh and scored four rushing touchdowns, leaving the Bobcats without an answer.
The Wolves rallied from a 34-17 third-quarter deficit to stun Woodland on the road, 55-53. The thrilling victory also secured Fayetteville’s first-ever back-to-back postseason appearances, making Stone’s impact all the more impressive.
