SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Parts of Broadway Ave. and Motes Rd. in Sylacauga will be closed Friday, Feb. 20 through Wednesday, Feb. 25 for railroad crossing and track maintenance, according to an update from the Sylacauga Police Department.
The police department has announced that Broadway Ave. will be closed during that time so crews can perform maintenance and repairs to the railroad crossings and tracks.
The work will also include repairs on Motes Rd. at Oldfield Rd. Motes Rd. will be closed to through traffic during the same period, police said.
Motorists are urged to use alternate routes, follow posted detour signs, and expect delays in the area.
