TALLADEGA, Ala. – Two men were fatally shot in separate incidents just minutes apart late Saturday night, June 7, in Talladega County.

The first shooting occurred around 11:20 p.m. on MacAlpine St. in Talladega.

Police said 21-year-old Kenyale LeSean Turner suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and abdomen. He was transported to Citizens Baptist Medical Center, where he later died.

About 15 minutes later, Sylacauga Police Department officers responded to a shooting on Settlement Rd. Officers found 47-year-old Grover Madison Davis IV, of Childersburg, dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Authorities said there is currently no known connection between the two shootings. Both investigations remain ongoing.

The bodies of both men have been sent to Montgomery for autopsy.

Police in Talladega and Sylacauga have not released information on suspects or possible motives in either case. They are urging anyone with information to contact local law enforcement.
