CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Automation Robotics Controls (ARC) broke ground on Plant Rd. in Childersburg on Thursday, Aug. 8, as they prepare the site for a new 17,000-square foot facility.
According to owner and founder Brandon Haley, ARC is an all-in-one custom automation solutions provider. They offer services in robotics, controls, vision systems, welding, maintenance, and machine builds.
“We needed a permanent home for our operations on a property that is large enough to grow with us,” said Haley. “We have that here in Childersburg.”

“We are excited to have ARC locate in Childersburg,” said Mayor Ken Wesson, “It’s truly been a journey, one and a half years to get to this point. It’s a proud moment for us all.”
It should be noted that the Childersburg campus of Central Alabama Community College (CACC) played an important role in the development of ARC over its four-year existence.
“I graduated from the robotics program there, starting when I was a high school student at Talladega High School,” Haley noted. “We’ve added another CACC graduate as an intern to be a vital part of what we’re building here. I’m sure there will be more. It’s a great asset to have in our corner.”
There’s a bit more work to be done on the building and property specs from the civil engineers. ARC looks to begin construction near the beginning of October, with completion as soon after the first of the year as is possible.
