LINCOLN, Ala. – A new expansion is planned at Honda’s manufacturing plant in Lincoln, and the Talladega County Commission has approved a tax abatement to support the project.
The expansion is expected to create approximately 200 new jobs by its projected completion date in July 2029. The project carries an estimated cost of $472 million.
According to documents approved by the Commission, the expansion will increase engine plant capacity, enhance model flexibility, and include additional ancillary projects.
To support the development, the commission approved a ten-year tax abatement valued at approximately $11.2 million.
