SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga’s designated day to clean up the city has been postponed.

Sylacauga’s Annual Clean-up Day was scheduled for Saturday, April 3, but because of COVID-19, it will not be taking place as planned.

“The clean-up day is very important to the city of Sylacauga, not only to maintain our city, but to keep our best foot forward,” Sylacauga Mayor Jim Heigl told SylacaigaNews.com last month. “The appearance of our city is very important to our guests and our citizens,”

The city’s cancellation notice did not come with a specific date for reschedule, but did say it will be rescheduled for a later date.
