Colonial Pipeline’s Line 1 reopens in Helena

HELENA, Ala. – On Sunday, Colonial Pipeline announced the reopening of Line 1, the gasoline pipeline that exploded early last week killing one and injuring several others.
On Saturday, a piece of the pipe that was affected from the explosion was removed and and a new piece was installed successfully on Sunday. Line 1 was restarted at 5:45 a.m. Sunday.

After Sunday’s successful restart, it is expected to take several days for the fuel delivery supply chain to return to normal.
