SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Jonathan Paul Beasley, 20, has been identified as one of the men arrested in connection to a recent string of robberies in Sylacauga.
According to Talladega County Jail records, Beasley was admitted at 3:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
Beasley, from Sylacauga, allegedly stole multiple items, with the help of an unnamed accomplice, in the Pinecrest community including bicycles, clothing and a Raven .25 handgun from a man’s vehicle.
The owner of the bicycles, Mandy Reams, said her bicycles were returned and owner of the handgun, Jeremiah Stallings, said the Sylacauga Police Department recovered his handgun.
Beasley is charged with Theft of Property 3rd Degree. He also caught two drug related charges including Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Beasley had a 17-year-old accomplice. The unnamed juvenile has been charged with Theft of Property 3rd Degree as well as Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle. After his arrest he was transported to Coosa Valley Youth Detention Center in Anniston.
Theft of Property in the 3rd Degree is a class D felony and could carry a sentence of five years or less than one year and a day in prison.
Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle is a class C felony and could carry a sentence of up to ten years in prison.
Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia are misdemeanors and go through municipal court.
