Three-year-old killed in early morning crash

LINCOLN, Ala. – A three-year-old was killed in a single-vehicle accident early Friday morning.

The crash occurred three miles east of Lincoln at 5:35 a.m. when a 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by 28-year-old Stephanie Montgomery of Lincoln left the roadway on Airport Rd. and struck several trees.

Police say the child, who was not properly restrained, was ejected from the vehicle. The adolescent was transported to Anniston Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Montgomery was not injured in the crash.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
