Talladega County branch of Alabama Extension Service announces a “Healthy Extension for Diabetes” program

TALLADEGA, Ala. – With diabetes reported at epidemic levels across the country, the Talladega County office of the Alabama Extension Service has put together an education and support program for individuals diagnosed with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

Weekly classes start on Thursday, March 13.

Make sure you are signed up by contacting Nutrition and Health Extension Agent Regina Meadows at (334) 752-2817, or you can call the extension office at (256) 362-6187.

Learn how to manage your diabetes with dieting, regular physical activity, medication and medical monitoring, healthy problem solving, and more tools at your disposal.

Classes will alternate between educational sessions and important activities. Graduation from the program is scheduled for June 26, 2025.
