American Red Cross in urgent need of volunteers in Talladega County

TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – The local American Red Cross is looking for volunteer help this holiday season.

American Red Cross is in critical need of help right now and offering the following volunteering opportunities for those willing to lend a hand.

If you’re interested in helping fellow neighbors in Talladega County recover from local disasters, you can volunteer with the Disaster Action Team.

Red Cross Disaster Services responds to many disasters every year from a home fire affecting a single household to large emergencies affecting an entire community or region of the country. Red Cross volunteers provide shelter, food, relief supplies, and a shoulder to lean on.

For those wanting to help accommodate donors at blood drives, you can sign up to be a Blood Donor Ambassador.

The American Red Cross helps millions of people in their battle back to good health every year through its Blood Services program. Last year, the American Red Cross collected  approximately 4.8 million units from roughly 2.8 million volunteer donors.
