SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga’s Natalie Hubbard has been selected as the District 5 Vice President for the University of Alabama National Alumni Association, earning a three-year term on the organization’s board of directors.
Hubbard, a 1999 graduate of the University of Alabama, holds a degree in secondary education for language arts and works as a secondary English language arts education specialist. She previously served as President and Vice President of the South Talladega County alumni chapter.
“I look forward to working alongside Natalie Hubbard this year as a newly elected Vice President to promote the University of Alabama National Alumni Association within our District 5 (Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Cleburne, and Calhoun counties). She will be a great asset to the NAA Board of Directors,” said Carol Sprayberry, President of the alumni association.
The National Alumni Association recently announced its 2027-28 President and seven Vice Presidents who will serve on the board. As District 5 Vice President, Hubbard will help represent alumni within her area and support initiatives designed to strengthen engagement among graduates, students, parents, and fans.
The association’s board of directors includes the President, President-Elect, past President, Executive Secretary, and Treasurer, along with three affinity group Vice Presidents, 15 district Vice Presidents across Alabama, and six regional Vice Presidents nationwide. Officers are elected to three-year terms during Alumni Weekend each year.
Board members help guide programs, events, and outreach efforts that support alumni chapters and promote the university.
The National Alumni Association is a self-governed, nonprofit membership organization serving the university and its extended community across the country. Members dedicate significant time to coordinating chapters, encouraging participation, and supporting scholarships while working with university leaders to expand programming and strengthen connections between alumni and campus initiatives throughout the region and nationwide efforts.
