SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Friday, May 29, is the first Friday after Memorial Day, marking the opening of the 2026 season for the Sylacauga Farmers Market.
The market will feature fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms, along with a variety of cottage industry products, including fresh-baked breads and farm-fresh eggs. Information about participating vendors for this year’s market will be provided.
The local farmers market program is administered by the Alabama Farmers Market Authority, which helps market agricultural products directly from farms to consumers. The program provides consumers with quality products at reasonable prices while ensuring fair returns for producers by offering a convenient and dependable location for buyers and sellers to gather regularly.

In Sylacauga, the market will operate every Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The market also serves as a location for area seniors to use Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program cards issued by the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries.
