SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce will host its next “State of” Series event, focusing on education across the region, on Tuesday, March 10 at 11:30 a.m.
The State of Education program will be held at First Baptist Church in Sylacauga.
Presented by Central Alabama Community College, the event will highlight how local schools are preparing the area’s future workforce. Speakers will discuss enrollment trends, career pathways, technical education programs, dual enrollment opportunities, and employer partnerships.
Scheduled presenters include Dr. Suzanne Lacey, Superintendent of Talladega County Schools; Dr. Michele Eller, Superintendent of Sylacauga City Schools; and Jeff Lynn, President of Central Alabama Community College.
The program will provide an overview of the current state of education in the community and outline ongoing efforts to equip students with skills needed for today’s job market.
The event will conclude with a question-and-answer panel featuring the presenters.
Admission is $20 per person and includes lunch.
