One man dead after single-vehicle crash on Sylacauga Fayetteville Highway

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – At approximately 5:21 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, a single-vehicle crash occurred that claimed the life of a Sylacauga man.

William E. White, 48, was traveling about two miles west of Sylacauga on the Sylacauga Fayetteville Hwy when the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria he was driving left the road and struck a tree.

White was fatally injured, and according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), White did not appear to be wearing a seat belt.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nothing further is available as troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
