SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Birmingham-based supermarket chain Fresh Value recently opened a grocery store affiliate named Meat Depot at the former Save-a-Lot location in the Ogletree Plaza Shopping Center in Sylacauga.
The fresh meat, produce, and dairy grocery store opened its doors on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
“We are looking forward to bringing affordable meat prices to Sylacauga,” the owner of Fresh Value, Gerry D’Allessandro, said. “Especially during this time of inflation, it is more important to us than ever to stick to our mission of offering quality, fresh-cut meat and name brand products at the lowest possible price.”
Meat Depot is known for its affordable meat deals while also providing its communities with a full line of grocery items and a well-stocked produce department making it a one stop shop for bargain shoppers.
The goal behind Meat Depot’s store concept is making grocery shopping on a budget possible without giving up quality.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with the products they want at the lowest prices,” said Brad Snyder, owner of Meat Depot.
Where Meat Depot differentiates from most discount stores is focusing on having real meat cut by real butchers in the store.
The advantage of being affiliated with their sister store, Fresh Value, is the buying power they have to buy meat by the case and deals from national brands by the truckload as well as locally sourced items to find you the best possible bargains every day.
Meat Depot is located at 204 W. Fort Williams St. with operating hours from 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. every day of the week.
