Man dies in car crash on Hwy. 21

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – A single-vehicle crash at 3:28 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, has claimed the life of a Piedmont man.

Gary Russell Howard, 75, was killed when the 1993 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving left the roadway on Alabama Highway 21 and overturned. Howard, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred one mile south of Jacksonville near Whites Gap Road. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
