CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – A Monday evening, April 28 traffic incident in downtown Childersburg sent a man to the UAB Trauma Center after he was struck by a vehicle just a few feet away from the Childersburg Fire and Rescue Station.
Childersburg First Responders from both the Fire and Police Departments were quickly at the scene and treated the 65-year-old man, preparing him for transport via Air Method’s Lifesaver helicopter unit out of Sylacauga.
The man was reported to be conscious but had also suffered numerous injuries.
The accident occurred at 8:16 p.m. on Monday.
