MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Week 6 rankings are out from the Alabama Sports Writers Association, and the local high school football scene is well represented.
In the 5A poll, the volunteers of Central-Clay County moved into the final spot. Region foe Beauregard moved up to #3, and the Sylacauga Aggies keep getting votes and hover just outside the top ten.
The Munford Lions rank as the #6 team in the 4A rankings, while region opponent Leeds comes in at #8. Handley of Roanoke garnered enough votes as the “next team” in the rankings.
