Local chamber leader used a scholarship for training focused on community growth

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Childersburg Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, John-Mark Freeman, has been selected as a statewide scholarship recipient through the statewide association of chambers of commerce. to attend a participatory leadership and community design workshop, Your Town Alabama.

Thanks to that scholarship, Freeman recently completed an intensive leadership and community design workshop focused on building stronger, more connected communities. The training included community visioning, strategic planning, and long-term economic development.

Freeman said of the experience, “This opportunity brings back valuable ideas, tools, and momentum that will help continue shaping the future of Childersburg – and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. It’s an investment in our commuity, to help us to continue building a stronger, more connected, and future-ready Childersburg.”
