Inmate escapes from Frank Lee Work Center in Elmore

ELMORE, Ala. – Eric Lamar Nelms Jr, an inmate at the Frank Lee Youth Center in Elmore Co., escaped from Frank Lee Work Center at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21. According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, he is serving a three-year sentence for burglary in Lee Co. and was incarcerated on April 3.

Nelms is 21 years old, 5’7″ tall, and weighs 160 lbs. He was dressed in inmate state white with state white shoes.
