MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Glenn Sisk, President and Chief Executive Officer of Coosa Valley Medical Center, has been elected as a Member at Large to the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Hospital Association, the organization announced during its recent annual meeting.
Sisk brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role and has been a longtime advocate for Alabama hospitals through service on numerous state boards, healthcare organizations, and association leadership positions.
He previously served as chair of the Alabama Hospital Association and has been active in civic leadership through the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce and the Talladega County Economic Development Authority. Throughout his career, Sisk has received multiple honors recognizing his contributions to healthcare leadership, advocacy, and community service.
Also elected to the board was Joseph Marchant, Executive Vice President of East Alabama Health, who will serve as the Central Regional Council Representative.
“Joseph and Glenn are highly respected leaders who bring decades of experience, sound judgment, and a deep commitment to Alabama healthcare,” said Danne Howard, President and CEO of the Alabama Hospital Association. “Both of these leaders have demonstrated that commitment throughout their careers, and we are grateful for their willingness to serve.”
Marchant, a former Chief Executive Officer of Bibb Medical Center, has held several leadership roles within the association and was recognized with the 2024 National Rural Health Day Community Star Award for his efforts to improve healthcare access in rural Alabama.
Founded in 1921, the Alabama Hospital Association represents hospitals and health systems across the state through advocacy, education, and member services.
