ROCKFORD, Ala. – Basketball fans and alumni from Benjamin Russell High School and Central-Coosa High School are eagerly anticipating the fourth annual alumni basketball game which is set to take place this Saturday, June 3, at 1:00 p.m.
The game is being hosted at Central-Coosa’s gym with a star-studded list of former players from both schools scheduled to participate.
Notable Cougar alumni set to compete include:
Justin Tuck, former Notre Dame defensive end and two time Super Bowl winner with the New York Giants
Adalius Thomas, former two-sport athlete at Southern Miss and Super Bowl winner with the Baltimore Ravens
Jamario Moon, five-year NBA career that included being named to the All-NBA Rookie Team in 2008
Xavier Moon, nephew of Jamario Moon and currently on the Los Angeles Clippers roster
For the visiting Benjamin Russell Wildcats, two big-time names will be amongst those attending:
Terrell Owens, a six-time Pro Bowler with over 1,000 career receptions in the NFL
Scottie Vines, three years in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions
Adding to the festive atmosphere, DJs Big Unk and Yo Roddy will keep the energy high throughout the game.
With an admission fee of just $10, the fourth annual alumni basketball game aims to be inclusive and accessible to all.
