SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Pastor Rick Patrick reports that Sylacauga’s First Baptist Church celebrated a special anniversary this past weekend, “Sunday, August 16, 2026, was exactly 112 years to the day since we held our first service in this sanctuary in 1914.”
The landmark church and its congregation have played a lot of major roles in the Marble City over time. The current sanctuary has served for over a century, and it is the fifth sanctuary for the church, dating back to 1833.
