UPDATE “Cold Weather WARNING” until 6:00 a.m. Wednesday; Slight chance of snow accumulation from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Tuesday morning forecast for Central Alabama from the National Weather Service (NWS) still includes a Cold Weather WARNING through 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22nd.

The chances for snow-related travel issues, the National Weather Service has, again, lowered the expectation of snow to a 30-percent chance of winter precipitation between 9:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible. Please allow extra time for safe travel under potentially dangerous road conditions, especially over bridges and low-lying &/or areas in shade.
