CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Police Department has released the identity of the fourth suspect in a sex abuse case that happened on April 12.
On April 27, an attempt was made to issue two warrants to Heather Michelle Carden, 27, the same day three other individuals were arrested on sex abuse charges.
“When I executed the warrants, she had already left the place where we located her. Basically, she tried to evade us,” said Sgt. Ronnie Brown. Brown said Carden was staying at the residence of James Sizemore, 1160 New County Line Road in Sylacauga. Sizemore was one of the three arrested on similar charges last week.
“I had spoken with her and given her time to turn herself in. I guess she had other options,” said Brown.
Carden is charged with sodomy 2nd degree and sexual abuse 2nd degree. Brown said Carden could be in the Sylacauga or Alabaster areas.
No reward is being offered for her arrest. If you have any information about this case, call Childersburg Police Department Investigations unit at 256-378-5747.
UPDATE: May 1, 2017 2:47 p.m.
Carden was arrested Monday afternoon in Sylacauga. CPD credits social media with her arrest.
