SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Blue Bell Creameries made a donation of $1,000 to the Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company (SDPAC), a program of the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement (SAFE).

The funding will help improve SDPAC’s ongoing 2022-23 theatre season which kicked off last Thursday, Oct. 20, with opening night of Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, currently running at the B.B. Comer auditorium.

The gift of $1,000 to SAFE and SDPAC makes Blue Bell a Silver Patron/Corporate Friend sponsor for the duration of the season.

“Blue Bell’s generosity and commitment to the community is incredible and SAFE’s Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company is grateful for this very generous gift,” according to SDPAC spokesperson Amy McDonald. “This gift will specifically help us underwrite the tickets for area students to attend the performances and to purchase [or] rent some of the audio-visual equipment needed for the shows”.

SDPAC’s 2022-23 theatre season includes The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Wizard of Oz, and Our Town.
