A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Vincent man

VINCENT, Ala. – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, has claimed the life of a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, 55-year old Todd C. Fontenot, of Vincent – who was in the roadway at the time of the crash – was fatally injured when he was struck by the 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by a 16-year old juvenile.

Fontenot was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Shelby County 85 near Lee Ln., within the city limits of Vincent, in Shelby County.

No further information is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
