SYLACAUGA, Ala. – While Mrs. Claus and the elves are hard at work back at the North Pole preparing for Dec. 25, Santa decided to make a quick excursion Thursday night.
Come to the B.B. Comer Memorial Library tonight if you and your children would like to hear Old Saint Nick read one of his favorite biographical pieces, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” This program is in rarefied air as most events held for children at the library take place during operating hours in the morning or early afternoon.
The storytelling will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. and last one hour. If time permits, the children may get to talk with Santa, sit on his lap, and tell him what they want for Christmas.
“We just want to provide a fun night for all of the kids in the community,” said Mandi Cantrell, the children’s librarian at B.B. Comer Memorial.
However, in order to visit with Mr. Claus, you’ll need to be there at that particular time. At 7:30 he’s heading straight back to his workshop, so don’t miss out!
